Dental crowns are permanent caps placed on open, exposed teeth after root canal therapy, before placement of a tooth bridge, and generally to cover or replace bad or decaying teeth. Tooth bridges are placed after the removal of one or several teeth or in place of previously missing teeth. They are anchored to the crowns placed on adjacent teeth to keep them in place.
